Watershed Management
Watershed programme is reckoned as the engine of agricultural growth and development in fragile and marginal rainfed areas. A watershed is not simply the hydrological unit but also determines the social, political and ecological entities, thereby playing a crucial role in food and livelihoods security, as well as social and economic well-being of people. Our emphasis lies in employing a holistic, collaborative, and diverse strategy to enhance the alteration of behaviour among communities for water management. This strategy intertwines engineering, societal, and ecological elements, extending its reach to semi-urban, urban, and rural communities and involves effective management of land and vegetation in order to conserve and improve the quality of water and also ensure its uniform supply.
